  1. 3) The poem is so poignant because it describes the truth about the human race and the world we live in. The poem describes how nature is more brilliant than any human because of its ability to come back and thrive even after all human life is terminated. This showed how nature is not reliant on humans and that the world itself is much more significant than each human. The poem is both negative and hopeful because it talks about disappearance of all humans but then it talks about how nature can come back and the world can still go on and create and sustain new life.

    2) The kind of people that lived in a home that did all the housework and even planned the days, were those people that looked for some sort of convenience in their homes, during the 50s. What the story is telling us on our tendency to rely on technology, is that we rely on technology too much. Too much, were we may become lazy, when we have the ability to take care of ourselves without that technology.

  3. Questions on Meaning
    2. Dependent people lived in that home. They depended on their home for almost everything that occured in their life. I wouldn't call them lazy but maybe just relyable on the house because thats the way technology has been brought up. We over rely on technology in our society. Everything we do deals with technology. Simple communication, relationships, jobs, shopping, business, homework, its a part of our everyday life. But the story is saying if we rely on it too much it may overtake our lives and the basic things we do like cook a meal. For the most part I think we could take care of ourselves and readapt to how it was when we didnt have technology but when you become reliant on something for so long it can be hard to change.
